Established in 1928, Jackson Community College (JCC) is a two-year college located in Jackson County, Michigan. JCC has its main campus in Central campus in the Summit Township.
In 2014, Jackson College joined American Honors program, it is a competitive community college honors program that provides students with the tools and one-on-one support to succeed in academics. American Honors program help students emerge as independent thinkers and continuing on to top-tier four-year colleges and universities across the country.
American Honors program
Students spend their first two years at Jackson College to earn top-tier education at a fraction of the cost, when compared to the cost of attending a four-year institution right away.
American honors advisor will help students make better decisions every step of the way, the advisor will work with students to determine the specific transfer requirements of the schools of their choices, so students will be able to take only the most transferable credits during their time at Jackson college.

Learning Environment
In general, the professors are open and flexible, they allow students to email them for help, or they would refer students to a tutor. Some professors take time to answer students’ questions in class. Average class size is around 25 which is perfect for international students who just arrive US, students learn best in smaller classes.
