Litz Student – Kenneth

Albright College provides me an environment to nurture a different way of thinking. Instead of worrying about the next exam, Albright students are encouraged to think critically. This is made possible by Albright’s flexible and multidisciplinary curriculum, uniquely equipping its students for not just school but life. I transferred to University of Michigan after 2 years in Albright, but setting foot in Albright marks not only the beginning of my undergraduate career but also a new chapter in my life, one which cultivates my core values and mindset for years to come, leading me to my current career working as a lawyer in Hong Kong.(Kenneth)

Albright is a quality liberal arts college in the North Eastern region of USA, over the past 20 years many of our students from Hong Kong transferred to the Top 50 Universities in the US.

A degree in the liberal arts prepares students not only to make a living, but also to make a life. … Critical thinking, communication, creative problem solving, self-expression, innovative research, and lifelong learning—all skills a liberal arts degree emphasizes—are central to a great career and a well-lived life.

“It’s in Apple’s DNA that technology alone is not enough. It’s technology married with liberal arts, married with the humanities, that yields the results that make our hearts sing.” — Steve Jobs , former CEO of Apple, Inc..

Litz Student – Ivy (translated from Chinese)

I still remember the year when I was a Form 3 student back in Hong Kong, seeing my brother just finishing his Form and heading to study at Dean College in Boston, USA.  I was feeling a bit envious about him, and I determined to study in USA after finishing my Form 5.

When the time came, I chose Albright College, there I met a few friends and we became very friends. Everyone was supporting each other during the two years of study at Albright, and we had good guidance under the professors at Albright.

I quickly adapted to the college life and fell in love with American culture.

After a year and a half at Albright College, I was successfully admitted to the Washington at St. Louis (ranked 13th in USA), I was also accepted by UC Berkeley, but I chose the former.

Albright College is a very caring school. I think it helps students who are studying abroad for the first time to adapt to local life and culture. Albright has a low teacher to student ratio, and the professor can recognize the students in their classes. I’ve to emphasize that Albright is a school that focuses on teaching rather than research, so professors are happy to answer your questions even outside classes, they also try to help their students to achieve good grades.”
