Established in 1926, Mercyhurst Preparatory School is located on a beautiful 7 acre campus. As Northwest Pennsylvania's only International Baccalaureate School (grades 9-12), Mercyhurst Prep offers this prestigious educational opportunity to students from all over the world. Students can choose one of three tracks: College Preparatory Program, Honors Program or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB). The IB program promotes critical thinking, communication, and integration of the information through in depth study of major areas of knowledge. All students also have the opportunity to participate in athletic, co-curricular activities and/or social events. Honors or IB students may dual enroll at Mercyhurst University located adjacent to Mercyhurst Prep. The school is recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the United States Department of Education and hosts award winning theatre, music and art programs.
