The Knox School

The Knox School

Features

Founded in 1904, the school is set on a peninsula on the North Shore of Long Island only an hour outside of New York City. Its mission is to provide the opportunity for students to excel within a liberal arts program infused with artistic and athletic pursuits, in preparation for higher education at selective colleges and universities. Six core values drive the mission – integrity, kindness, courage, responsibility, respect and scholarship. It has a long standing tradition of providing a small, family-like environment in which to live and learn. Knox offers an Honors Portfolio program for every upper school course, 27 elective courses in both the humanities and sciences, and 14 AP classes. A full time college counselor is on staff to guide the seniors on to institutions of higher education. A traditional boarding school environment with its own stables!
