The University of Maine offers a strong traditional education at an affordable price. UMaine-Orono is the flagship institution in the University of Maine System, and one of New England’s premier universities. UMaine’s library is ranked among the top in the country.
The university itself offers 88 majors of undergraduate study to pursue, organized into five colleges. These colleges are the College of Business, Public Policy, and Health, the College of Education and Human Development, the College of Engineering, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the College of Natural Sciences, Forestry, and Agriculture. For postgraduate studies, there are around 70 masters degrees as well as 30 different doctoral programs.
