“My name is Anson. I have studied in Edmonds College for two years. I am going to transfer to UCLA this year.

2 years ago, I decided to go to the United States to continue my academic study. I went to Litz USA to find out the university that I could get in with my HKCEE results. (My HKCEE result is really bad) They introduced me Edmonds Community College, a two year college in which you can transfer to a 4 year university after the completion. Moreover, studying in community college has a better chance to get into a high-ranked university. Edmonds Community College has a combination of English courses which can help you to improve your English writing and communication skills. It also has a wide variety of courses for the preparation of your intended major. My intended major is political science. And Edmonds Community College offers most of the requirement courses for political science. The professor of my political science classes is the best teacher I’ve ever met so far. He is smart and he concerns about the learning progress of every student. I remembered I had questions to ask him after every lessons and he was always patient enough to answer all of my questions. Further, he helped me a lot in writing my personal statement. He told me what should I include in my personal statement and corrected the vocabularies and grammar for me.

Edmonds Community College also offers a lot of volunteer opportunities for students. I went to food Dunk with the school to distribute food for poor people several times. They are great experiences and they also help in writing my personal statement.

Teachers in Edmonds Community College really helped me a lot. I was accepted by UCLA, University of Southern California, University of Washington – Seattle, UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, UC Irvine. With what I’ve learnt in Edmonds Community College, I am confident that I can handle all the coursework in UCLA.”
